Checklist

Please note the following requirements before you start to mark your exam forms.

  1. All forms (of the same layout) must be scanned into a single PDF file with the following scan settings: dpi=300, color mode=color).
  2. The page size of your PDF file must mactch the physical dimensions of the exam form. If you use Scantron forms, set the scan area to 4.25x11 (or 4.3x11 if the scanner does not accept two decimals); if you use/print our forms, set the scan area to match the form size (e.g., 4x11), not the paper size.
  3. If your school does not have a site license, the maximum number of forms allowed in the PDF file is 30.
  4. The scanned forms must be in the PORTRAIT mode (i.e., the exam questions are read from top down). This is usually done by feeding the SHORT side in when you scan the forms. If you have forms in the landscaple mode, use tools such as Adobe Acrobat to edit/change the pages. Note that simply rotate the "view" does not work; you have to "edit" the file.
  5. Make sure the scanned forms are deskewed. In other words, the edges of the forms must align with the edges of the pages, not slanted or distorted.
